 From The President

Thanksgiving Prayer:

Heavenly Father, on Thanksgiving Day
We bow our hearts to You and pray
We give You thanks for all You've done
Especially for the gift of Jesus Your Son
For beauty in nature, Your glory we see
For joy and health, friends, and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy, and care
These are the blessings You graciously share
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days

November is Diabetes Awareness Month

Diabetes Awareness Month, observed every November, plays a crucial role in raising awareness about diabetes and its impact on individuals, especially the elderly. Diabetes is a chronic condition that affects people of all ages, but it can be particularly challenging for older adults. As we age, our bodies become less efficient at managing blood sugar levels, making seniors more susceptible to diabetes-related complications. This awareness month serves as an opportunity to educate the elderly and their caregivers about the importance of regular screenings, healthy lifestyle choices, and effective management strategies to prevent and control diabetes. It also emphasizes the significance of community support and healthcare resources tailored to the unique needs of older individuals living with diabetes. By fostering awareness and understanding, we can better address the specific challenges faced by the elderly in managing this condition and help improve their overall quality of life.
